Increase PEG Writing Use In Your Classroom!

April 22, 2016

It's April, which means the flowers are blooming, the weather is turning warmer, and you're trying to figure out how to squeeze everything into the last few weeks of school before testing begins!
Is writing one of those last minute efforts? Do your students need just a little more practice before the school year ends? This month, we're tackling how to increase PEG Writing usage in your classroom. Our April user webinar provides details on increasing classroom usage as well as increasing engagement on school and district levels. Webinars are available to PEG Writing users on demand within their user accounts. Here is a sneak peek at our tips for classroom uage.
  • Develop a habit of writing: Establish a routine in your classroom so that students expect to write on a regular schedule.
  • Recognize student writing: This can be done in the classroom or online if you have a class website. This is a great way for students to learn from each other and be proud of their work.
  • Make it a group effort: Collaboration exercises are another way for students to work together and learn from their peers. The lessons in PEG Writing are perfect for student collaboration on the various traits of writing.
You can begin to incorporate these ideas into your classroom now, and be ready to jump in next year with lessons learned! Are you interested in learning more about using PEG Writing in your classroom? Contact us!
