PEG Writing: New YearThe summer is going by so quickly! Before you know it, it will be time to start a new school year. Some teachers and students are already heading back to school.

Are you ready?

To help you prepare for a new year, we have compiled some of our posts and resources throughout the website that share great tips for getting back into the swing of things with your students!
  1. First and foremost, set yourself up for a successful year. Stockpile your ELA resources, plan to tie reading and writing together, and look for various ways to incorporate writing into the classroom.
  2. Start with the basics...and then encourage your students to put their own personal spin on it. Our post, Learn the Rules, Then Break Them!, talks about the importance of having a strong writing foundation while also nurturing the artistic side of writing. Allowing students to put their own stamp on their writing will spark excitement and increase engagement.
  3. Remember the importance of immediate feedback. PEG Writing was developed around the principle of formative assessment, and we've shared many posts and resources surrounding the process.
Do you have tips you'd like to share on our blog? We'd love to hear from you. If you have questions about how PEG Writing can help, email us.
