October 20, 2013 is National Day on Writing, and the PEG Writing team would like to celebrate with you!

Enter our Word Cloud Contest! It's easy. Just read our latest blog post, "Are a Thousand Words Worth a Picture?". Then:
  • Ask your students to try one of the word cloud generators mentioned in the post.
  • Once they've found their favorite, have them enter one of their PEG Writing essays into the generator.
  • Students can customize their word clouds and create a one-of-a-kind piece to save as a PDF or image file (JPEG, GIF, PNG).
  • Email the saved word cloud creation to the PEG Writing Team by Friday, October 18 at 5pm. Emails should include the title of the essay prompt that was used in the word cloud.
Selected submissions will be featured on our blog the week of 10/21. The winner of the Word Cloud Contest will be announced by Friday, October 25 and will win a class pizza party. The full list of contest rules are below. (Contest open exclusively to PEG Writing users.)

Contest Rules:
  • All word clouds must be generated from essays that have been scored by PEG Writing.
